Diagnostic time is quoted up front based on how deep the fault is. Simple codes resolve quickly; intermittent electrical faults take longer because they have to be caught in the act.

Starting prices are estimates. Final pricing depends on your vehicle, the parts it needs, and what we find during inspection.

Frequently asked questions

What does a flashing check engine light mean?

A flashing light means an active misfire severe enough to damage your catalytic converter. Pull over safely, stop driving, and have the vehicle brought in. Continuing to drive can turn a coil-and-plug repair into a converter replacement.

Can I drive with a steady check engine light?

Usually short distances, yes — but the underlying fault is often costing you fuel economy or slowly damaging something. Get it read within a few days.

The parts store read my code. Why do I need a diagnosis?

A code identifies a circuit or a symptom, not the failed part. Replacing based on a code alone is how people end up buying two or three parts to fix one problem.

Will clearing the code fix it?

No. Clearing without repair just erases the record; the light returns once the fault repeats, and it wipes the emissions readiness monitors you need for inspection.
