An oil change should not cost you an afternoon or a scheduled appointment. Drive into Champion Tires & Brakes on Rivers Avenue during business hours and we'll get you in and out — conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic, with the correct viscosity and filter for your engine.
Every oil change includes a look at the rest of the vehicle. Charleston heat and humidity age belts, hoses and coolant faster than the mileage suggests, so a five-minute check under the hood often catches a problem while it's still cheap.
Starting price
$49.99Oil changes start at $49.99. Full synthetic, high-capacity engines and diesel applications cost more because they use more oil and a different filter.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I change my oil?
Follow your manufacturer's interval — commonly 5,000 miles for synthetic blend and 7,500–10,000 for full synthetic. Heavy Charleston stop-and-go traffic and short trips push you toward the shorter end.
Do I need full synthetic?
If your manufacturer specifies it, yes. Many modern turbocharged engines require it. Otherwise it's optional, though it holds up better in summer heat.
How long does an oil change take?
Usually well under an hour including the inspection, depending on how many vehicles are ahead of you.
